Ruth Armitage
Ruth Armitage began her career as a high school English teacher. Her communication and organizational skills stem from that training. Her work has appeared in the Artist’s Magazine, Watercolor Magic, Watercolor Magazine, and the Palette Magazine as well as numerous local, regional, and national shows.
You’ll find Ruth’s work represented by the Portland Art Museum’s Rental Sales Gallery, Waterstone Gallery, Freed Gallery, and Earthworks Gallery in Oregon. Ruth enjoys watching light bulbs come on in her student’s eyes. She has led hundreds of students through the creative process to find fulfillment in her over 20 years of teaching art. Ruth and her husband, Marc, live in Vancouver, Washington.
