Ming Franz was born in Taiwan where she discovered her talent at an early age. She has traveled and studied art for decades and has become a sought-after instructor. She now resides in New Mexico. She, like Georgia O’Keeffe, one of her favorite artists, has been transformed by the pristine desert light and the stunning Southwest landscape.
The artist has received awards for both her traditional ink paintings and her abstract work. Her work is found in numerous private collections and she has been featured in numerous publications.
Ming is a faculty member of the New Mexico Art League. She is a Signature Member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society, and member of the National Watercolor Society, Sumi-e Society of America, Chinese American Art Development Foundation, and the American Society Association of Chinese Art. Her work has been featured in many publications including the prestigious International Artist Magazine. Her awards include a recent challenge #86 in Abstract/Experimental works, a feature of International Artist Magazine, April/May 2015
