Printmakers Group Residency
Spend 10 days with other printmakers at La Romita, free from daily distractions and fueled with inspiration from the Italian atmosphere.
For over 60 years La Romita School has been hosting workshops and retreats from its home, a 16th Century monastery nestled among olive groves in Umbria.
We’re opening this residency specifically for printmakers to use and share our printing studio with its etching press. Printmakers will have access to both studios, with the chapel-studio arranged for prepping work. We want to encourage collaboration and exchange between artists in this unique and expressive artform.
The group size will be limited to 6 printmakers (though partners or non-printers are welcome).
During the 10 day workshop we will offer 3 day-trips, opportunities to set it all down, get offsite, take in the beauty of Italy, and recharge.  The region is an extraordinary destination for artists, photographers, and poets, with inspiration to be found in local scenery, history, and culture. Time at La Romita gives artists time and space to focus on their art in a serene atmosphere, with opportunities to explore and adventure, without most of the logistical distractions that come with travel abroad.

As La Romita School caters to multiple levels of instruction and various forms of the arts, prices will vary by session, season, instructor, and offerings.
