KEEP IT SIMPLE: REVEAL THE BEAUTY OF PASTEL – with Lisa Regopoulos

Join Lisa at La Romita for 10 wonderful days capturing the hillside towns of the Umbrian region in pastel. Not only will you experience the sensation of painting on site in the breathtaking scenery, you will be immersed in the culture and hospitality of the people who live there.
Focus will be on taking your pastel painting to the next level and developing your own personal style. Lisa will set up on site for a daily demonstration and provide exercises that are critical to building your design and composition skills. You will learn how to simplify and important skills that will make your plein air painting time a successful event.
You’ll paint in the morning and late afternoon with Lisa to assist you at your easel. You’ll have leisurely lunches and excursions off the beaten path to hillside towns that aren’t filled with tourists! The group will also visit sunflower fields, a spectacular waterfall, and Roman ruins and medieval fortresses. There will be plenty of excursions to internationally known places such as Perugia and Assisi, as well as lesser known places such as Todi, Narni and Spoleto. The group will participate in wine tastings, photography, relaxation and great camaraderie!
