Scholarships

The Enza and Paola Quargnali Memorial Scholarship

 

This scholarship, named for La Romita School’s founders, honors their legacy and artistic vision, and their desire to share the experience of art making in Italy with American students.

The Scholarship is funded through donations from our Alumni.

It is intended to help artists and writers develop their process and explore their art through exposure to authentic Italian culture provided by the workshops at La Romita.

This scholarship is open to United States artists and art-educators of both visual and literary arts.

For 2024, there will be three $2500 scholarships awarded for classes to be held during our 2024 session. Scholarship application deadline is March 1 and scholarship recipients will be announced May 1.

Eligibility
• United States Citizen
• Above the age of 18
• Ability to attend a workshop at La Romita during the award year

The application process requires applicants provide samples of their work, the La Romita workshop they feel will best support their current work, and a statement regarding what they hope to learn and achieve by attending that workshop.

As number of scholarships and funding will vary annually, the award must be used in calendar year awarded

Each scholarship recipient will be required to provide images and content to La Romita’s social media about their experiences at their workshop and its impact on their art practice with 6 months of their class.
